Duty, VAT and registration

Servers (HS 8471.50) enter Qatar at 0% customs duty under the GCC common tariff. Qatar has not yet implemented VAT, so at present there is no VAT line on the import, which keeps the tax picture simple next to its neighbours.

A Qatari importer needs a commercial registration and, for some goods, an import licence. Certain equipment may need standards approval; general servers usually clear on the standard documentation. We prepare the export documents and coordinate with your agent.

  • Customs duty: 0% on servers (HS 8471.50, GCC common tariff).
  • VAT: not implemented in Qatar at present.
  • Importer needs a commercial registration; standards approval for some goods.

Delivery and clearance

We ship every server by air. Your forwarder flies the shipment to Qatar and delivers it to your site, and door-to-door delivery takes 1–2 weeks.

Clearance goes through Qatar Customs with a commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill and certificate of origin. Your forwarder files the declaration and handles clearance on DAP/DDP terms.

The import flow, step by step

We sell EXW Hangzhou. For first-time importers we help appoint a forwarder who books the air freight, exports from China, clears Qatar Customs, and delivers to your Doha site.

You see the landed cost, including freight and clearance costs, before anything ships.

  • Send your spec. We reply within 1 hour during business hours (Mon–Fri 09:00–19:00 Beijing time, UTC+8) with an EXW Hangzhou quote.
  • We assemble, burn-in 24–72 h, and issue export documents.
  • Forwarder flies the shipment to Qatar, clears customs, delivers DAP/DDP.
  • 1-year warranty with advance-replacement RMA.
